Dear reader,
Our organisation Shree Jwalamukhimata Maisuria Mandal (London) was inaugurated in 1987 when our members felt the need to meet and coordinate gatherings so that the Maisuria families who had come to reside in UK from East Africa, India and other parts of the world can stay in touch with each other.
In 1987, five honourable members congregated a meeting and decided to start a function as well as giving the name Shree Jwalamukhimata Maisuria Mandal (London).
Since then, Mandal has organised various gatherings, events and awarded prizes etc. to the children for performing at our functions to encourage them to take part in our Mandal's cultural and religious activities.
Mandal's first constitution was written and approved in 1991.
One of the major tasks the Mandal undertook and performed successfully was to help build our Kul Devi's temple in Navsari called Ambika Niketan. This giant project was only possible with contributions from all the Mandal's members and was greeted with excitement and thanks from the people of Navsari. Today, if you wish to go and spend time in India, you can go and make full use of the temple's facilities which includes lodging and hostels for the students from distant villages who without this facility would not be able to get higher education in their villages.
Since 1987, Mandal has been lead by the following people.
Mr Dhansukhbhai I Maisuria
Mr Hasmukhbhai D Maisuria
Mr Naginbhai G Valand
Mr Ghanashyam M Master
Mr Vijay D Barber
Mr Ghanashyam M Master (re-elected)
Our thanks go to all the members who have contributed to the Mandal through their generous donations, dedicated work and countless hours given to the Mandal.
We hope that you will be encouraged by the progress and come forward to help our Mandal's work. We can assure you of our best guidance and knowledge sharing.
There is no pleasure like the pleasure one gets from serving the people.
